Zippy web browser that does away with tabs, focuses on privacy and removes some of the clutter common on other web browsers.
Move over FireFox and Chrome, we have a new web browser in town called Colibri Browser which apparantly does exactly what Chrome's mission was back in the day: a minimalist and fast web browser without distractions.
Unlike virtually all modern browsers today, Colibri does away with the tabs and allows you to focus on single-tasking. The idea here is that without having to deal with a wave of information from multiple sources, users of this web browser can simply focus on one page at a time.
The user interface of Colibri Browser is beautifully minimalist and lacks many of the sometimes unused features that other web browsers focus on. That makes for an extremely fast web browsing experience because system resources aren't wasted on processing multiple web site simultaneously nor does it incorporating any of the non-core features required to simply browse the web.
One feature that Colibri does incorporate, however, is private browsing. When activated, a purple "P" will show up beside the web page.
The normal features that are included are all accessible from the hamburger menu icon in the top-left corner of the interface. From here, you can configure Colibri Browser to improve privacy, change the default search engine, activate "Do Not Track" and manually clear cookies and other temporary web browsing files. Toggling Adobe Flash Player is also an option.
The bottom line is that Colibri Browser is super minimalist and it's fast because of that.
